To Step Into the Hoop
by Ameanie
Blundering through the next bell chime As life seems to pause before my eyes Step past the crowding heights To tip my hat at familiar sights
The days are long and the nights are dark While free minutes pass by within a spark Work piles upon carefree summer hearts Trying to find meaning in those marks
Alas one does not know how to escape this loop With nothing to gain and everything to lose Light does not shine upon the saplings which droop But they still bear the bullet winds shoot.
