Months

September feels like summer The fall leaves yet to arrive The thrill of vacation Slowly shrivels away as bells chime So hauling my backpack I climb the next step up
October the demons lurk Cramming my rehearsals and new tests I'm weary but happy Screaming my pain, hate, rage out The first leaves fall All is quiet after hallows eve
November my birthday nears Thanksgiving's a prelude to winter break Counting down the days Until Clara flies to winter lands Hating the wasted hours Watching the white point shoes dance
December brings bare branches Exams before break feel like finals The pressure is imploding Like the boulders weighing me down Life slows down fast The minutes crawling towards a finale
January is still cold The Hawaii glow is still fading The poems composed there Prove evidence to my blissful leisure But school hits fast As the real finale creeps near
February blinks by quick As I start rehearsing fervently again Young sprouts begin growing Yet it's still a long way Before spring winds come To bring the mist and blossoms
March drags on forever The thrill of winter fades away Petals and spring rain Reminisce back to the previous year Delirious minds laughing aloud Spinning ceilings and eyes and tails
April the pressure's on So suffocating I wrote a poem Break comes around but I'm holed up inside my room Fervently studying and memorizing While spring shifts to summer heat
May I've given up Studying and studying until I collapse Tests pass by quietly While I sit still in disbelief Remembering those nine years Now gone like a fleeting shadow
June the sickness arrives Yet the air's cold with rain A moment of silence To reflect on the passing days Summer is here again But the wind howls like winter
July sweat drips down Exhaustion seeps into my mind's marrow Numb to the noise Droning on past my glazed vision Suffering from the suppression Hoping and knowing that they'll fade
August the countdown begins My last push and soreness start Worrying about the wheels As the test looms above horizons Although the worries persist Hopefully I will survive this year
