Winter Song

by Ameanie

Hush of breath Steams into frost. I sit bundled To gaze out.

A sudden glimmer Which flutters down, Sinks and stays Into my gaze.

Now I whisper, Not aloud, but In my mind Within its expanse.

Another falls towards The glittering woods. And the light, It transforms anew.

It leaps across The frozen marsh Into the clustered And covered pines.

Suddenly it races Past the stream Which frozen still feeds this fantasy.

The cold chill Biting my figure Creates a clarity I chase within.

Faster and faster, The tree trunks Blur with motion As winds whistle.

Eternity is passed Yet nothing passes With this timeless Feeling of forever.

I see tremendous Light in front Of my bounding And soaring step

But before my Very gaze, light Vanishes. The glimmer Has faded away.
