Silent War
by Ameanie
No one talks of the war waged out back, When the sun and the moon rise upon the draped blue sky And they roam the roads upon silent feet And the countless enemies that crowd upon The lands with luster blinding your sight.
Yes. The ignorance sounds on silent breeze, As the sea and the wind carries deadly poison past Permeating through the valley peaks of mother earth Sinking within the calloused lands With ringing screams that ignorance muffles.
So among the battles that shadows hide, Curious happenings of demise, lies, and the skinning of hides Like oil and water which are forced to mix And the illusion of water nestled among Saharan sands Or the pull of currents under deep murky ocean.
All of those things so subtle yet obvious Hide among the daily lives of those innocent and unaware But someday the question will be thrown And the answer will be given by those who seek And that would be the day the remaining enemy fades.
