Whatever’s your name I've questioned since I was little have you watched me grow? my friends didn’t believe I questioned my brain thinking I was crazy maybe mentally deranged

I heeded your breeze I twirled in your storms so, so long ago I barely remember those days time spun, and I lost you I thought of you less a fleeting memory when I was a kid

now I wonder as I listen to to the hiss of branches the howling of wind of leaves flying wildly and of rain crying in descent have I forsaken you? left you behind? are you trapped in loneliness crying for a friend?

maybe you’re just angry or maybe you want to say why have you forgotten why did you go away? is this your way of reminding that you’re still watching me is this a gift for my birthday my sweet, sweet sixteen?

anyhow all this to say thank you for your presence no matter what you intend I'll always look on fondly to the memories we’ve spent please remind me sometimes so I won’t forget your listening patience and our days of happiness well spent
