Some Time
by Ameanie
I gaze upon this dreary, wretched night, Head bowed in quiet thought of something new. A creature screaming in the darkened sky Occasionally rousing burdens due. The chilling creeping cold I sense beyond Feels close yet far from comfort in my home A single light shines but is not quite on. Oh heaven do please tell my heart so lone What comes tomorrow when the flood retreats? How many hours must I toil in lies When winds abide to horrors' cackling greets? Too frail to fall yet shoulders pouring cries. But all is shrouded, mystery hides the truth. So take those tears and bathe within to soothe.
