A Quiet Christmas

by Ameanie

A Quiet Christmas Soon to pass, Spent away behind Closed doors. What is this silent weight, Which droops my eyes and drapes Over my weary body worn from labor. Perhaps the rain and mist so unlike winter Affects me so. There's a million things I should do, yet I muse: Wouldn't Santa allow me this rest? As a gift for today, I can erase the tasks that plagued me the past year to enjoy This rainy day without snow, in which I waste away in rejuvenation, Feeling Agitated All the while.
